Cheerleading 2011-12 (Grades 7 - 12)
The Varsity Cheerleading Squad consists of 9th through 12th grade girls. The Middle School Cheerleading Squad consists of 7th and 8th grade girls. The Lincoln Varsity and Middle School squads cheer for Lincoln's football and basketball teams.
Summer practice dates, as well as the mandatory summer cheerleading camps, will be listed on the website cheerleading daily calendar as soon as that information becomes available.
For prospective Lincoln familiesThe enrollment process must be completed before your daughter will be permitted to participate in cheerleading tryouts beginning on May 10. If accepted to Lincoln after April 26, the date of the mandatory pre-tryout parent meeting, you will be required to schedule a meeting with the varsity cheerleading coach prior to May 10. If not enrolled by May 10, girls must wait until the following year to try out for Lincoln Cheerleading.
New Lincoln students entering 9th through 12th grades for the 2011-12 school year, who make the cheerleading squad, will not be permitted to participate in O.S.S.A.A. Cheerleading Competition in their first year at Lincoln, unless they meet O.S.S.A.A. eligibility requirements. However, they will be eligible to cheer at Lincoln football and basketball games.
Current Lincoln familiesThe re-enrollment process must be completed before the mandatory pre-tryout parent meeting on April 26. One parent must attend the meeting before your daughter will be permitted to tryout.
Mandatory Pre-tryout Parent MeetingWill be held on April 26, 6:00pm, in the high school gym. One parent must attend for your daughter to be permitted to tryout. The enrollment/re-enrollment process must be completed before attending this meeting.
Cheer Tryout ClinicWill be held on May 10-12 from 3:20pm until 5:30pm in the high school gym. This is a preliminary clinic where attendance is required in order to learn the appropriate material for Cheerleading Tryouts which will be held the following day.
LCS Cheerleading TryoutsWill be held in the high school gym on May 13. Girls entering 7th - 8th grade will tryout from 3:20pm until approximately 4:30pm. Girls entering 9th - 12th grade will tryout from 4:30pm until approximately 5:45pm.
Uniform Fitting
Girls who make the Varsity or Middle School squads are required to attend. Will be held on May 16-17 from 3:15 - 4:30pm in the high school gym lobby.
Cheerleading 2011-12 (Grades 3rd - 6th)Girls entering 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades will cheer for football. Sign-ups will run from April through the end of May. The mandatory parent meeting is held in May (exact date TBA). GIRLS IN 3RD THROUGH 6TH GRADE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO TRYOUT.
